The new Sant Jewelry space, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio, marks a new chapter in the history of the brand founded in 1931. After nearly a century in its emblematic location on Carrer de Petritxol, the jewelry house expands its presence in the city with a project on Passatge Mercader, translating the precision of craftsmanship into architecture. A selection of materials designed to endure, like the jewels that give it meaning.

This is not a conventional boutique but a space conceived through the logic of the craft. Every element has been designed with the same precision that defines Sant’s work: finely executed carpentry, velvet - lined showcases, and an entrance made of steel treated to achieve a tone reminiscent of aged gold. The entrance door itself acts as a physical and conceptual threshold between the city and the interior. Its weight and materiality embody the sense of permanence that guides the entire project.

On the main floor, the exhibition area and clien t service take center stage. Oak
wood and a grey - green carpet create an intimate and functional atmosphere. A
long display counter runs along one side of the space, while behind it, a slender wooden shelf showcases original jewelry drawings, artworks, and objects that dialogue with Sant’s material universe. On the opposite side, a waiting area and
three customer desks reinforce the ideas of closeness and discretion. Their dark leather tops provide a warm, elegant contrast, designed to enhance the presentation of the jewels. At the back, a private office, filtered by Venetian blinds — identical to those on the storefront — introduces a play of transparency and layering, controlling how much of the interior is revealed.

The lower level adopts a freer language. Designed as a multi - purpose space, it hosts art and craft exhibitions that extend the brand’s universe into other disciplines, while also accommodating the workshop and office area. Here, textures become more expressive, with a grey - textured ceiling adding an industrial and contemporary character. A custom-made table anchors the space beside a continuous bench that transforms into a work surface, eventually becoming part of a display shelf where pieces from various collaborators are shown.

Overall, the project offers a contemporary reading of Sant’s legacy: a jewelry store understood not as a showcase, but as an experience.
