Espinàs i Tarrasó SCP

Interior designer by the Massana Arts and Crafts School (1975) in Barcelona and graphic designer by the school Eina, he has been developing his career in the field of architecture and urban design. From 1980 to 1989 becomes a partner with Carlos Crespo, Anna Albín and Albert Hernando architects to develop building and urban design projects. In 1986 he is in charge of the graphic design of the architectural magazine A30 and of several publications for COAC designing also the graphics and the exhibitions for this Institution. He was also exhibition designer and image and signage coordinator at the CCCB from 1993 to 1996. He was jewellery designer of various collections for several institutions such as CCCB and MACBA. From 1994 to 1996 together with Olga Tarrasó, is in charge of the communication and graphic design project for the Architectural International Congress, UIA Barcelona’96.

Architect by the Architecture School of Barcelona (ETSAB, UPC. 1982) and MA in Landscape Architecture by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), she has given courses, workshops and lectures in the following institutions: School of Agricultural Engineers (UPC), School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB), Eina School of Design, Elisava School, School of Architecture La Salle (UPF), Academie van Bouwkunst of Rotterdam, Architectural Association (AA) London, School of Architecture of Valencia (ETSAV), and several Universities and Professional Schools of Spain, as well as Europe, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Brno, Stuttgart, München, Wageningen and Paris amongst others. In 2010, together with Carme Ribas and Bernardo de Sola, she directs the Diagonal office (office under the Urban Design department of the Barcelona City Hall) to develop the project of the redevelopment of the Diagonal for its later citizen consultation. She has been lecturer in the following schools courses: Landscape Workshop in the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Navarra, 1999-2002, Landscape workshop in the Degree of Landscape Architecture UPC, 1998-2001, Projects I and II of the Escuela Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona 2000-2001 and Projects in the MA of Landscape Architecture UPC, 1997-1998. Curator of the Biennal of Landscape of the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona in 1996.She worked in the Urban Projects Managing Office of the Barcelona City Hall since their origins in 1981until 2000. She developed projects of Urban transformation in different areas of Barcelona. Amongst others the Seafront promenade of Barcelona designed together with Jordi Henrich, Jaume Artigues i Miquel Roig, winner of the FAD prize in 1996, and the covering of Ronda del Mig together with Jordi Henrich, winner of the Decada prize. They also designed urban furniture like the Nu bench (1991) that became a revolution amongst the traditional benches.
