Expo Service Areas
The Expo Milano 2015 “Feeding the planet, Energy for life” offers a unique occasion to raise global awareness about the limited available natural resources. Within this framework, FTA’s project represents traditional elements of the typical Lombardy rural house, such as the balconied homes and farmstead buildings, from a contemporary point of view, generating a new, technologically advanced module that fulfills the specific functional, aesthetic and environmental requisites outlined in the competition’s brief. FTA proposes a modular structural system that apart from reducing the construction time and costs offers the possibility to personalize the façade design to respond properly to the microclimate of each building improving the dialog between buildings and visitors.
