Cox Architecture

This project entailed changing a pedestrian mall back to a street. As the design investigation progressed, we realised that the street perpendicular to the mall and running down to the river was unnecessary for traffic. It has been converted into a new public square that has become the heart of the city. Our focus was to reinforce the city’s historic fabric and parallel it with richly crafted street elements.
