The goal was to conceptualize the exterior and interior, capturing the essence of sunny Barcelona while meeting the specific requests of the clients. This included creating vibrant and extravagant spaces, utilizing durable materials suitable for a household with pets, and ensuring the design harmonized with the challenging topography of the site.
Inspired by the sun-kissed ambiance of Barcelona, corten steel facades were chosen for their vibrant and natural appeal. The rusty hue, graffiti on the facades, and transparent glass inserts as load-bearing "walls" collectively brought the conceptualized design to life. Every detail, from the staircase's ceramic and brass composition to the complex geometry of the lift core, reflected the studio's commitment to innovative and intriguing design choices.
Customization was essential, as it shaped the very identity of the residence. Bespoke elements, like the turquoise dining area shelf and its precision-crafted nano-technology finishes, were crucial in defining the distinctive character of the home.
