Antequera Train Station

The high-speed train “AVE” station at Antequera arises like a natural part of the land, an accident on the terrain, in a place with no architectural references. The great two storey hall has two 400-metre-long platforms for high-speed trains to Madrid and Malaga and a third platform for regional trains. Technical requirements determine the length of the building, accesses to the platforms. The building is divided into four strips. Each one has its own height and curvature. The sikscreen glass treatment of the façades achieves greater control over natural light, providing a calm interior ambience.
