The Architecture Studio Sessions is a captivating series of ten events that is part of the official UNESCO-UIA World Capital of Architecture 2026 program in Barcelona.

Curated and coordinated by Miriam Giordano, Gaia Pellegrini, and John Hill, leading architecture studios will open their doors to share their workspaces, philosophies, and creative processes across ten engaging sessions. Each event combines architecture with music, featuring playlists curated by the architects themselves to foster connection among all participants in an open cultural format.

Organized by World-Architects and generously sponsored by Laufen, Roca, and Simon, in collaboration with Labóh and L35, the Architecture Studio Sessions promise to be an unforgettable journey of discovery through Barcelona's vibrant architectural landscape.

The studio
LAMÁQUINA is a Barcelona-based company specialising in large-scale additive manufacturing through robotic 3D printing with pellets. Our mission focuses on the sustainable industrialisation of construction and the scalability of 3D-printed solutions for architecture, infrastructure, modular construction, and urban furniture. We provide services in engineering, design, robotic manufacturing, and post-production finishing, integrating mass customisation at an industrial scale with innovative materials. This approach allows us to set new standards in manufacturing processes, exploring aesthetics and solutions guided by sustainability and efficiency. Through targeted R&D projects, we expand the applications of additive manufacturing in strategic sectors, delivering high-performance, practical solutions that merge digital precision with real-world impact.

The space
The event will take place on the ground floor of LAMÁQUINA’s headquarters in Barcelona, located within an industrial warehouse where the company’s production activity takes place. The space houses the robotic 3D printing machines and fabrication robots that shape the components and construction systems developed by LAMÁQUINA, as well as full-scale examples of some of its work. The warehouse operates as a production, experimentation and demonstration environment, offering direct insight into the industrial and technological processes that define the company’s practice.
