Tribute to the red carnations
The project is based on two opposing concepts: violence and peace.
Various historical conflicts in which the people have rebelled against an oppressive force have been symbolized by flowers vs. weapons. The installation contrasts two main elements that represent these concepts. Black sticks symbolize strength, repression, forcefulness. Red carnations symbolize peace and freedom.
