Hydrapier Pavilion
The award-winning HydraPier Pavilion is a 1,200-square-meter structure inspired by both technologies of flight and hydra-engineering located in Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands in close proximity to Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. The pavilion is a 100-meter-long, pier-like structure that projects onto an artificial lake and a controlled movement of water fuses with the architectural surfaces to create a reflective and, literally, fluid surface. Water continuously flows down the two inclined planes of the roof and onto two glass walls located on either side of the entranceway.
