HELL, SWEET HELL, is an ephemeral work that unites two antagonistic concepts. A gateway to the underworld, an invitation to the visitor to be captivated by the temptations that arise from the infernal regions.
It is an access to a different Hell, a pleasant environment for all the senses, with sweet tones that transform the preconceived ideas of this dark abyss.
More than 30,000 ice cream cones define this aggressive topography. Super pink, super sweet, super appealing. The smoke blurs the atmosphere of this courtyard, while some aroma dispensers impregnate the atmosphere with a pleasant smell of cotton candy.
A chaotic geometry that contrasts with the neoclassical architecture of the building, the Hospice of Olot, with a three-storey façade and a repetitive arch.
Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana rhythmic, dark percussion completes the atmosphere. A cantata that deals with, among other things, earthly pleasures, carnal love and intoxication, sarcasm and ridicule.
Hell. Maybe it’s not a bad choice.
Welcome to hell! Welcome to Lluèrnia.
